The wind blew the foam, making it tremble and shake.

It almost looked alive.

Tim was attacked by a piece of seaweed.
We were now pretty wet so home we headed.

Ocean Shores is much more of a resort city than Westport - lots
of hotels and tourist attractions.
Sharky's Gift Shop has 'fun shark
designs on high quality towels, shirts, boogie boards, skim boards
and more!
'  We didn't go inside - we both lack shopping genes.

This sign made us laugh - what unfortunate juxtaposition.

Sand and Sawdust festival?  We had fun thinking up contests that might
take place. In reality 'it brings together two defining characteristics of
Grays Harbor — the beach and the trees

DAY 3
Day 3 dawned even wetter than Day 2 but we were not daunted.
Our plan was to drive about 80 miles south to Ilwaco where there
are 2 lighthouses fairly close together.  We both like lighthouses.

Once again the Pacific swelled with waves.

We made good time (amazing what you can do when there is
barely any traffic) and drove to the North Head Light.

First we took the trail to a View Point.  Yes, it's still raining.

Oooooh, I found a tree to hug.

We walked past an old wooden water tower in the woods.

The trail ended at this platform.

It was a lovely view, even under the current conditions.

Whoa Nellie - look at this big old tree!.

Tim takes a stroll out on the roof of an old WW2 bunker.
