It's hard to imagine how long the debris has been there.

A boardwalk takes us across a small swamp.

There is lots of evidence of rockfalls.

Nevermind a bridge too far - this is a bridge too high!

Here and there, small waterfalls make themselves known.

I can't imagine how much work went into building this railroad.

died in the avalanche.  That took place some distance away.

Tim demonstrates a tree trunk condition called Snow (or Soil) Creep.
' Snow/ice pressure ( or soil) may cause trees to bow with gentle curves.'

Look who are having a picnic in the sunshine!  I think they're baby Chipmunks.

How cute is this?

Here I am, sashaying back over the Big Bridge.

A Common Skipper(?) accompanies us for a while.

Yep, that was a good hike.  We walked around 6 miles.
