Along the well-marked trail we went.

Tiny mushrooms grew on top of a log.

Fungi seemed to like this dead stump.

Here's a fungal in another dead tree.

Tim shows the scale as we get closer to the mountains.

The stream runs down into the snow to form the ice cave at the bottom.

Two engraved rocks are a reminder to stay on the trail.

Not everyone pays attention.  People still go into the caves as they did on Saturday.

Only a few patches of avalanches are left.

Rocks and meadows and waterfalls - whee.

I feel very small next to these huge mountains.

Time to head back and the sky is becoming ominously dark.

Back we go, through the tall trees, downhill all the way.

'Better put on your hat, Ace!' calls Tim.

Yep - it's raining, and we drive home through a torrential downpour.
The fun never ends. :)
