I
spent a weekend in Hamilton with the Curry family.
On
Saturday, Brian, Crue and I went to Gairloch
Gardens in Oakville.
My Mum used to take Brian and Ali there when they were
youngsters.
I wonder if Brian and Crue know they are being watched?
Crue
takes time to smell the roses - there's a lovely rose
garden.
Lake Ontario's water level is the highest it's been in
100 years.
The water seeps in below this breakwater and floods the
area.
Many parts of the beaches are now underwater.
A Killdeer and a Spotted Sandpiper dropped by to say
'hi'.
Crue is looking very grown-up these days.
He spotted a frog hiding in the grass beside the trail.
He also spotted this one relaxing in a shallow spot in
the stream.
We watched an 8-spotted Skimmer dragonfly too.
Time to head home now.
On Sunday we head to Lasalle Park Marina, also damaged
by high water.
It was nice to see the swans.
There are loads of chipmunks there.
This one is checking Brian's hand for some food.
It was fun watching these little fellows who were
everywhere.
I wonder what Crue is looking at?
'Dad, these guys want to know if they can come home with
us.'
'Not this time, buddy,'
It was so good to see everyone again. (picture

Hindsight
is always 20/20. When I got home I found
I had no pictures of Ali, no pictures of Beth
and no family pictures (which I'd told myself
to be sure to take). Better luck next
time.
I also saw my friend of more than 40 years and
her husband. We had a great lunch in a
winery and loads of laughs, as always.
Thanks to everyone for making my visit so much
fun. See you later.
