Here we go again, visiting the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival despite most of the tulips trying hard to remain closed.  Who wouldn't want to huddle down and keep warm during the cold, wet weather?  They could not hide their beautiful colors from us and it was a pleasure to see them.  It definitely brightened our day.

What glorious colors greeted us.

Some flowers are beginning to open...I think.

Flower beds had been redesigned with new shapes and new plants.

Bright tulips trying to open made me think of spring.

Hiding in the leaves were hyacinths.

I don't know the names of many of the tulips.  The blue flowers are Grape Hyacinths.

When all of these open it will be stunning.

I remembered these from last year - they are huge.

Hopefully these will all be blooming by this time next week.

Yikes!  I just washed my petals and I can't do a thing with them!
