On Thursday, April 26th Tim had an appointment in Seattle so I went along for the ride.  We were very close to where we used to live.  It was lunchtime when he finished so we headed  to Red Mill on Phinney Ridge - home of the best burgers and fries ever! We miss them, and thoroughly enjoyed becoming re-acquainted with them.

Afterwards we figured we'd better walk some of it off, so we headed  for the nearby Woodland Park Zoo where we spent a a couple of hours.  It was a 80F and sunny, and so good to see the animals again.  Many were taking naps inside where it was cooler but those who were around allowed me to take a picture or two. Here are twelve.

Hey you - long time no see!  You look Grrrrrrreat!

Red Panda sneaks up slowly on the Big Wild Green Log.

Okay so I put on a few pounds over the winter.  Who didn't this year?

This is the way I build the nest, build the nest, build the nest...
Weaver Nests are built by the males.  When the nest is ready, the Weaver male will bring his female to check it out.  If she doesn't approve of it she rips it all apart and makes him start all over again.

The Mousebird guards 'his' tree.  'I got here first!  It's mine!'

I've just washed my hair and I can't do  thing with it!

The Victoria Crowned Pigeons are very pretty birds.

It's 'baby' Yola!  My gosh how she's grown.  I think she's about 2 1/2 now.

I like to play wrestling with my auntie.  We have lots of fun!

I'm just hanging around waiting until they open the door and let us in.  It's HOT out here!

I'll wait ONE more minute then I'm going to knock on that door!

Maybe Melati will let me in.  She likes me.

And with that it was Rush Hour and time to head home
after a very nice day of being spontaneous.
