Seven pictures from today's local walk.

Look who was just outside the door as I left!
A tiny Pacific Tree Frog.

I wonder if he's the frog who entered our apartment last year?

A pair of Band-tailed Pigeons hid in the trees by a pond.
They live in woods and like to sit in trees.

A Northern Flicker tries to make a noise to attract a mate.

When he sees me, he takes off like a rocket.

A Sapsucker is busy looking for sap or insects.

A small hawk sits in a tree beside the road home.
I think it's an Accipiter but I'm not sure which one.

Also seen but not photographed were a Bald Eagle and a couple of hummingbirds collecting floss from old bulrushes, perhaps to line a nest.

As for me - I walked my way through sunshine, light rain, sunshine, dark clouds, heavy rain, more sunshine and a sprinkle.  Yes indeed - if you don't like the weather here in the Pacific Northwest, just wait a minute.

So it goes.
