Woodland Park Zoo

March 19, 2016

Goodbye Sunshine - back to gray for the weekend.  Time for a visit to my happy place - the Woodland Park Zoo.

One of the Jaguars paced around, no doubt fed up with the weather too.

Here's a very blurry picture of the elusive Ocelot!  I'd just entered the steamy Rain Forest Pavilion and hadn't had time to change lenses or allow my poor cold camera to warm up.  Oh well, win some, lose some.

'You can see by my pretty color I've been eating my shellfish faithfully'

'Hah!  Take a look at THESE pretty colors, my friend.'

'Are they spectacular or what?'

'Good grief - what a showoff.'

'We have nice colors too but we don't brag about them.'

Line-up at the Salad Bar.

'You'd never catch ME lining up for a salad.  No sirree!'.

'Thank goodness for this heated log.  I don't know what I'd do without it.'

'Huddle, man!  That's what we do.  It's the only way to keep warm.'

'I kinda wish we could stay inside 'til Summer!'

'Look at this big scratch I got on my arm.  Can you see it?'

*Izuuma, mimicking* 'Look at the scratch on my arm...'
I laughed out loud - was this 'Monkey see, monkey do'?

What a wonderful surprise to see the 17 month old triplets today.

My gosh they have grown - they're huge.

All three are working on Manes and Mohawks.

They're still at the 'scruffy' stage.

All three were fixated on an old Christmas tree which had been scented.

It was so nice to be back at the Zoo again.
