North Creek Trail
February 2016
A Blue Heron fishes for his breakfast.
How nice to see a female Hooded Merganser!
Their 'hairdos' always make me smile.
This one spends a while checking out her surroundings in the sun.
Mr Mallard takes a peek at the new lady in town too.
Time to exercise my wings.
There's nothing like a leisurely flight in the sunshine.
I liked the way the morning sun shone through this fellow's wing
feathers.
A Towhee reports that the blackberry crop was really lousy last
year. Yuck!.
The boys are back in town - American Wigeons and their entourage.
The Coots don't seem to be too bothered by them.
Overhead, a Bald Eagle checks them out too..
A cheery Song Sparrow warbles away.
I wonder if these are last year's babies, returning 'home'?
